Nerd alert
The GW Hatchet will have “teasers” (the ‘in-this-issue’ part of the front page) at the top of A1 for the next year. It was a design element that I fought for as a production assistant, and it seems like a cool mark I can make on the paper. It’ll be fun creating these from issue to issue, and will take more creativity than our old teasers.
Note: The butting headlines below the fold were a necessary evil =/ We had really long stories that exceeded our jump space, and needed to cut a photo from the front. Thus, the front was redesigned at 3 a.m. and we had to butt headlines.
